| Resume: | PERFORMING EXPERIENCE • 1990-Present Privately contracted for freelance playing in a variety of musicals throughout southern Wisconsin including: Cabaret, The Pirates of Penzance, On the Town, Urinetown, Once on This Island, and Hair • 2003 Principal Bassist for “The Mozart Requiem” in the Southern Lakes Masterpiece Chorale • 2001-2003 Associate Principal Bassist for Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra • 1995-2002 University of Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, section String Bass • Performed in the UW Symphony Orchestra's tour to Spain (2001) In addition to playing in the section I was the Assistant Touring Manager • Toured the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Austria and Hungary (1998) • 1995-1998 Played as the sole bassist for the UW Symphonic Wind Ensemble conducted by James Smith • 1986-1992 Member of the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (W.Y.S.O.), principal bassist • Toured Japan and Taiwan (1992) EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE • 1992-2002 Attended Master Classes with Jeff Eckels, Richard Davis, Gary Karr, Edgar Meyer, Bela Fleck, Diana Gannett, Christian McBride, Chuck Rainey, Bobby McFerrin • 2002 Participated as a camper at Victor Wooten’s week-long Bass Camp in Tennessee. • 2001 University of Wisconsin, Madison Earned BA in Political Science (2001) Elective courses emphasized on music performance and ensemble playing • 1996-1998 Taught string bass lessons to scholarship recipients in W.Y.S.O.'s ambassador program |
