We are a couple of transplanted Jazz musicians with an upcoming gig, but no bassist. This is a pro group and expect the same. Upright bass preferred, unless you are super tight with electric. Reading lead sheets is a must, but memorized standard repertoire is better. Currently have piano, trombone, drums. Have a few gigs in Madison starting up in April. Likely it turn into a regular thing. Reply asap.
